It is best to email or call me for information based on your specific event, but I have listed below the three types of services that I provide.
For this service you will get everything that a day of planner gives you, plus I will be also the one planning the wedding.. Planning a wedding seems so simple, until you start doing it. It actually becomes very stressful and time consuming. That is where I come in. You only need to be as involved as you want to be. Some brides want to be there every step of the way trying to be really involved. Other brides would like to give me ideas of what they are looking for. Then I go do the reading, web site searching, phone calls, and meetings and bring you back different options to choose from. Then you will be able to make the final decision without all of the work.
I’ll make sure all of the bases are covered. I will find your location, caterer, florist, photographer, videographer, baker, etc. I will set up cake tasting and food tasting. I will get all of the vendor pricing, quotes and meetings. I will help formulate a realistic budget. I will help negotiate contracts and let you know when deposits and final payments are due. A few weeks prior to the wedding, I will call all of the vendors. I will send them their itinerary of when to arrive, what they are required to do and where to set up. They will receive another on the day of the wedding. I will make sure that all vendors stay the time required to provide services as per their contract. This way your vendors do not charge any overage fees. This is one of the most helpful parts of having a planner. Most vendors charge $100.00-$200.00 per extra hour if they have to stay later than the contracted time. If you don’t stay on top of your time line, you could get a bill at the end of the night you did not expect! I will create a wedding ceremony and reception time line based on what you want. I will type up a seating chart and put the place cards with it if you are using assigned seating. I will make a processional with your bridal party’s names and the recessional. I will come during your rehearsal to ensure that we all are on the same page. After the event I will contact the photographer & videographer to get ensure they get you the finished products as soon as possible. I will also make sure that rentals are picked up and make sure that the person you choose to take your gifts home, does so along with your toasting glasses, cake knife, etc.
Most couples also hire me to coordinate their rehearsal.
This option is chosen if you want to cut back on the fee, and if you are able to plan the entire event but do not want the worries on the day of your event.
This works well if you are very organized prior to the event and make sure to give me all of the important information to make a great day. Since I will not be involved in the hiring of vendors and planning of the event it is very important that you give me this information.
We would have one consultation 2 or 3 weeks prior to the event after our initial free consultation. We will review all of your plans and ideas for the event. I will collect all of your vendor contracts and information and discuss their responsibilities during the event. We will discuss the timeline, and important activities. I will get your wedding party information and the processional information. If you are having arranged seating, I will get your chart, including where you would like all of the vendors to set up. I will be in charge of coordinating all aspects on the day of your event . I will arrive well in advance to oversee that set up is correct and complete for both the ceremony and reception. All vendors will receive their own list of tasks, timeline and where to set up. I will also let them know that they should come to me for any questions, so that you may enjoy your special day. I will make sure that the sign in area is set up with all of the needed items. As well as the cake table, gift table, toasting glasses at the bride & groom table. I will ensure the table numbers are up, name cards, favors, etc. I will direct the processional and recessional for the ceremony. I will hand out any final payments to your vendors and keep activities on schedule as per the time line. I will ensure that the DJ is aware of all activities and that he will know when to make announcements and cue music. I will make sure that all vendors stay the time required to provide the services as per their contract. I will personally assist the bride and groom.
Many couples also hire me to coordinate their rehearsal.
Usually I'm asked to do partial planning when people begin planning their wedding or other special event. However, as the day approaches they realize that there is an overwhelming amount of planning that still needs to be completed. I will assist you in the final logistics and organizational decisions. I can enter the planning of the event at any point before the wedding. I will recommend vendors, review contracts, organize transportation or hotels accommodations, and relieve all of the stress from planning. I become the main contact on the client's behalf, and complete the remainder of the planning. Most clients hire me in conjunction with hiring me as their "Day of Planner". Depending on the planning left to do when you hire me, we will discuss a price accordingly.
If you only have a specific vendor left to find or a specific task, you may want to hire me hourly. We will come up with a maximum hourly time to spend on the topic. This way you do not get a bill that you did not plan on.
